Plans

Something that I have been a huge advocate for since before Keylan was born is car seat safety. I feel like I have seen just about everything with car seats and have heard all the excuses that I can hear. I am always willing to help a parent, grandparent, friend, or any one that transports children. When Shiana was born I was not educated and I am so thankful and blessed that nothing ever happened to her in the car. I did everything wrong; straps to loose, buckle on her belly, jackets on under straps, and the worst is forward facing her at 8 months old. I found a awesome group of women that I have learned so much from and from there I have researched and learned even more on my own. I can give advice and tell why not to do something from experience, but people always ask "Why should I listen to you? You do not have any credentials to tell me what I am doing is wrong".  So now I want to take my teaching to the next level. I am looking at getting CPST certified. There is a course that is going to be close to me and I am trying to make plans to attend. After finishing the course I will be certified and can then answer "Well I am certified in child passenger safety" and plan to have cards made to give out if they ask for one. If I can have just one infant or child protected that is all that matters to me.

What's to come in 2014

So 2013 is over and on to 2014. This year the kids will be turning, 4, 7 and 14. I will be turning 26 and my loving husband will be the big 3-0. I have decided that I am going to make goals to work on a little everyday, but I do have at least one big thing that I would LOVE to have happen this year. I want us to be able to have a home of our own. We have been trying to work on that but with the holidays and trying to get the paperwork for the Army advantage fund rolling it has been a hassle. But on to our goals for this year:

- Start going to church more regularly, and grow my relationship with God
- Yell less at the kids
- Grow as a wife and a mother, because both my husband and my kids are always changing and so I must grow with them.
- Be more fun and not so serious about everything. My babies are only babies for so long and then I will be uncool.
- I want to start eating healthier
- and work on losing a little weight and being more active.

So these are all very easy and simple, but they will all take "work" to fulfill them throughout the year.
