So life has been, I guess to say hectic. I am finally getting more substitute jobs, which is AWESOME because that means more money to catch up and pay bills and also start buying Christmas presents.
We had a parent teacher conference with Shiana's teacher last week and she is doing absolutely awesome in everything. She is way ahead in all subjects in class and doing things that her teacher said she has seen very very few students do at her age level. I am one super happy momma and she is so bright. But she has also been having some "health" issues. She has been complaining about things far away being blurry and having a hard time seeing the board, so we are trying to get her eyes checked. And betting that most likely she will be needing glasses.
She also had a knot on her throat that swelled up last weekend and continued to for a few days. I took her to the ER and they said it was a cyst on her thyroid. She was then referred to an ENT, that appointment was on Friday. We went in, and since I was paying out of pocket we had several things taken care of. First, of course, was her throat. She was diagnosed with a thyroglossal duct cyst (Thyroglossal Duct Cyst). At this moment since we do not have insurance, he said that we are ok. But when it kicks in and it is not swollen and angry he wants and ultrasound to check it all out and then surgery to remove the cyst. Next, was her nose. She has been having frequent nosebleeds so he checked and she has/had a large "juicy" blood vessel on the side that bleeds so he cauterized it and we are hoping that helps. Last he checked her throat and asked if she snored a lot. She does so I said yes and he then told me that her tonsils are enlarged and that also means that her adenoids are enlarged too. He said that he would like to have them taken out, after insurance is in and after the cyst surgery is finished. So we have a busy few months when insurance is back.
Keylan....what can I say about my crazy little boy? lol. He is 3 and a half years old now, fully potty trained which is awesome! He still is not so crazy about meat, loves him some fruits though. He has also started sleeping through the night now, which also is nice. With all the weather change though his asthma has been acting up so he has been coughing a lot.
